The year is 2014, the location is January City, Utah, the population is 2000. The world is in turmoil, as a new world war has broken out. But in January City, you would think the world was at peace. In the small town almost everyone gets along, and there is something that sets this town apart from all the rest. Its big cat rescue center. Many citizens of the city get jobs there, and it is a major tourist attraction. The city has plenty of money, and the cats are well taken care of. Sounds perfect, right?
Well, nothing stays perfect forever, and when biological warfare was brought into the equation, even this small town couldn't stay out of the fighting. The disease spread like wildfire, and within two years every human being on the face of the earth was dead.
So what happened to the big cats?
When the people of January City realized they would all be dying soon, they knew they couldn't leave the cats locked up to die. And so, they released them all. Being a rural town, the heavily wooded area would provide the cats with food if they could adapt to getting their own.
The year is now 2017, and it is been one year since all of the humans died. The cats of January City are doing okay. At first life on their own was hard, but that was when they realized it would be easier in groups. Lions and Tigers were the man residents of the big cat rescue facility, and naturally they grouped up with their own species. It wasn't long before each decided the other had to go. At that point, half of the town belonged to the tigers, and half of it belong to the lions. The fights were brutal, and finally some of them got sick of it, breaking off to form their own group. They claimed a little territory, and tried to stay out of the fighting. However, the pride of lions and tribe of tigers decided that the small coalition of neutral cats were traitors, and brought them into the fighting as well.
So, where do you stand? And what do the loners do?
